How does it work?
World wide Industry experts are calling this the biggest evolutionary leap in hairdressing ever. The Bio Ionic system uses patented technology known as the Trinity FX complex. This natural mineral complex emits a negative ionic, infrared and electromagnetic wave charges simultaneously, these shatter water molecule clusters into micro-fine particles and keep them apart, allowing the Bio Ionic formula to easily penetrate the hair shaft. Bio Ionic is low chemical concentration and only needs one formulation to straigten all hair types not three. This process restores the moisture balance of the hair, leaving it soft, smooth, shiny and straight. This is quite unlike traditional chemical strengtheners, which leave hair dry, brittle, damaged and only semi straight.

The process
Not surprisingly, the Bio Ionic Trinity FX-Retexturising System is only for professional salon use. The process itself takes between one-and-a-quarter and three hours depending on the client's hair (thanks to the newly developed Retex Express method developed by Fernado Romero's Team of Bio Ionic in Beverly Hills, LA). The retexturising solution is applied to wet hair and left to process. Once again, the time needed for this depends upon a client's hair. The hair is then rinsed, blow-dried with the revolutionary Bio Ionic Hair Dryer and straightened using the Bio Ionic Retexturising Iron made of Teflon and coated in Trinity FX complex. A retextutising/neutralizing cream is then applied, rinsed off, and the hair is blow-dried again, leaving it perfectly, permanently straight and beautifully reconditioned. During the process there is minimum odor and no burning or itching due to the products very low chemical content due to the micro hydration effect.
Depending on how quickly the client's hair grows, the process will need to be retouched between two and four times per year.

The breakthrough technology of the Trinity FX-Retexturising System can be used on all hair types without the damage usually associated with traditional chemical straighteners. In fact, the straightening aspects of the system were a secondary discovery (after all, in Japan where the system was developed there isn't a great deal of need for hair straightening). At first, it was used solely as a reconditioning or retexturising system that made hair healthier, smoother and shinier. But outside of Japan, it's the straightening aspect that has had everyone from Madonna, Halle Berry and Jennifer Lopez beating a path to the best hairdressers in town.
The Bio Ionic Professional Hair Care System is a revolutionary two-fold system developed in Japan in 1975. It consists of the Patented Bio Ionic Trinity FX-Retexturising System (commonly known as thermal reconditioning), a permanent straightener that uses natural Trinity FX complex, as well as a series of products that can be used with the retexturising system or on their own.
The products
As well as the Retexturising System, Bio Ionic has a series of products that also utilise the Trinity FX technology to restore and revitalise the hair. Shampoo, conditioner, protein spray and gel, brushes and blow dryers are already available (these are the world's first patented brushes and dryers), and will soon be followed by a domestic iron, cordless chargeable domestic iron, hot roller kit, hot air styling tool and travel dryer with a folding handle.
Like the Retexturising System, these products use the Trinity FX charge to shatter water molecule clusters by up to 10 times their size and keep them apart, allowing the properties to penetrate deep into the hair shaft. The brushes are infused with Trinity FX mineral complex, making them static free and smoothing the hair like no other product on the market. The Bio Ionic Hair Dryer not only dries hair but also conditions it. How? When the water molecule clusters are broken down more moisture can enter the hair shaft while the rest evaporates more easily. This product dries hair 35 per cent faster than other blow dryers, while the dryer itself is 50 per cent lighter and less noisy than traditional models. The Bio Ionic Hair Dryer is particularly effective for blow-drying curly hair straight. Through photo evidence the dryer can be proven to seal the hair cuticle not damage it like a normal dryer.
It is necessary to use the Bio Ionic range of products after having the Trinity FX-Retexturising treatment, but they can also be used on their own.
